THREE ANCHORS

If you love turtles you’ll love this. This site is called 3 Anchors because there are 3 massive 17th century anchors scattered along the sea floor, but this is also known as Turtle Point and sits just off of Pointe aux Canonnier. This mostly rocky reef varies in depth from 15 – 21m on the peaks and valleys. These rocky mounds provide resting spots for turtles who want to escape the current. By respecting their space and movement, these turtles have made this area home and we often see the same individuals dive after dive.
